class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In the\u00a0PROPHIPER Project (Hypersonic Propulsion), the 14-X\u00a0is a Brazilian unmanned hypersonic aircraft (UAV) prototype, still\u00a0under development, but already with good results in simulations and ground tests. This aircraft will be equipped with a\u00a0scramjet\u00a0engine, which is integrated into the fuselage, with no moving parts. Its operating principle is based on the fact that, during flight, the air flows according to the geometry of the vehicle and its speed, being directed to the engine in the lower part of the\u00a0aircraft. It uses the &#8220;waverider\u00a0concept&#8221;, in which a wave provides the sustainability necessary for its flight. Both the aircraft and the engine are completely Brazilian in construction, with the IEAv preparing for upcoming launches.<\/p><p>In this sense, on June 7, 2018, different actors came together, including the company Orbital Engenharia (contracted to prepare the executive systems engineering project aimed at integrating the technological demonstrator\u00a0scramjet\u00a014-X S into a hypersonic accelerator vehicle (VAH)), and experts from the Institute of Advanced Studies (IEAv), the Institute of Aeronautics and Space (IAE), the Alc\u00e2ntara Launch Center (CLA), the Institute for Industrial Development and Coordination (IFI) and the Department itself of Aerospace Science and Technology (DCTA), which met to review the system requirements (SSR) of the 14-X S scramjet engine, a phase that is extremely important for the continuity of the Project.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-4518cd1\" data-id=\"4518cd1\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-385953a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"385953a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;ekit_we_effect_on&quot;:&quot;none&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>This review provides the beginning of the preliminary engine design phase.<\/p><p>As commented by the 14-X Project Manager, Israel R\u00eago, \u201cWe have made great progress since the mission definition review (MDR), we have just finalized the SSR and now we are ready to detail the demonstrator project\u201d, says the expert.<\/p><p>The preparation of the aforementioned executive project (contract no. 035\/GAP-SJ-IEAv\/2017) will take place through 4 (four) phases:<\/p><p><strong>Phase 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Delivery of mission definition documentation (revised on 05\/16\/2018);<\/p><p><strong>Phase 2:<\/strong> Delivery of integrated system configuration documentation (revised on 06\/07\/2018);<\/p><p><strong>Phase 3:<\/strong>\u00a0Delivery of preliminary project documentation (scheduled for November 2018); It is<\/p><p><strong>Phase 4:<\/strong>\u00a0Delivery of detailed project documentation (scheduled for January 2019).<\/p><p>For Col. Av Lester de Abreu Faria, Director of IEAv, \u201cthe PRPHIPER project appears to be a major and relevant inflection point not only for national technology, but also for the Defense Industrial Base and for the development of the Technological Cluster of S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Campos and surrounding cities.
